These pomegranate mint cubes bring stunning ruby color and antioxidants to your water, cocktails, or mocktails. The pomegranate adds sweet-tart flavor and beautiful color, the mint keeps it fresh.
What you need
- 1 cup pomegranate juice (or fresh pomegranate seeds)
- 1 handful fresh mint leaves
- Optional: a squeeze of lime juice
How to make it
- If using fresh pomegranate, blend the seeds and strain to get juice
- Wash the mint leaves
- Blend pomegranate juice and mint until combined
- Add lime juice if using
- Pour into ice cube trays
- Freeze for at least 4 hours
Why this works
No cooking, pure elegance. The pomegranate creates a stunning deep red color and the mint adds freshness. Drop a cube into sparkling water for a jewel-toned drink, or add to champagne for celebrations.
Practical tip: Store-bought pomegranate juice works perfectly - choose 100% juice without added sugar. Fresh pomegranate seeds give the best flavor but take more time. These cubes are perfect for special occasions.
