These dark chocolate oat bars bring deep chocolate flavor to wholesome oats.
Ingredients
- 200g rolled oats
- 100g butter
- 75g maple syrup
- 50g light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 100g dark chocolate chunks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
- Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper
- Melt butter, maple syrup, and sugar in a pan
- Remove from heat, whisk in cocoa powder and vanilla
- Mix in oats and salt, then fold in chocolate chunks
- Press into tin
- Bake for 20-25 minutes
- Cool completely before cutting
