These chocolate chip oat bars combine wholesome oats with chocolate for the perfect balance.

Ingredients

  • 200g rolled oats
  • 100g butter
  • 75g honey
  • 50g light brown sugar
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
  2. Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper
  3. Melt butter, honey, and sugar in a pan
  4. Remove from heat, stir in oats, vanilla, and salt
  5. Fold in chocolate chips (save some for topping)
  6. Press into tin, sprinkle remaining chips on top
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden
  8. Cool completely before cutting
