Sweet, tart, and ready in 5 minutes
These berry lemon cubes add a burst of flavor to your water, lemonade, or iced tea. The berries bring natural sweetness and color, the lemon keeps it fresh and bright.
What you need
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- 1 lemon (juice + zest)
- 1/2 cup water
- Optional: a touch of honey if berries are too tart
How to make it
- Wash the berries thoroughly
- Hull strawberries if using, leave other berries whole
- Juice the lemon and add zest
- Blend berries, lemon juice, zest, and water until smooth
- Taste and add honey if needed
- Pour into ice cube trays
- Freeze for at least 4 hours
Why this works
No cooking, no added sugar unless you want it. The berries are naturally sweet and the lemon balances everything. Drop a cube into sparkling water for instant berry lemonade.
Practical tip: Use frozen berries if fresh ones aren't available. They blend just as well and are often sweeter. Strain the mixture before freezing if you don't want seeds in your cubes.
